
CounterTek Inc. recently launched a luxury line of cultured marble colors under the trademarked name Marblux®. The name holds deep significance, especially to former CEO Raymond Roux, who had a long-standing connection to the original Marblux brand. Once a highly respected name in the cultured marble industry, Marblux lost its prominence after the original company was sold and eventually shut down.
Ray was passionate about reviving the brand he had always believed in. He envisioned restoring Marblux to its former glory and began the process of acquiring the rights to the name. Sadly, Ray passed away before the trademark was secured.
His close friend and successor, Jonathan Scudder, now CEO of CounterTek, shared Ray’s vision and was determined to see it through. Jonathan successfully acquired the Marblux trademark and has since continued Ray’s mission—bringing new life to the brand with a refined luxury line that honors its legacy while looking boldly to the future.
